Nelson, BC, August 29, 2025. The Kootenays’ entrepreneurial spirit is heading to the big screen with the first-ever BroadKAST Film Festival, a one-of-a-kind celebration of innovation, creativity, and resilience.
Hosted by KAST (Kootenay Association for Science & Technology), this premiere event will spotlight a series of short films featuring inspiring stories from Venture Acceleration Program (VAP) entrepreneurs. From groundbreaking startups to visionary leaders, the BroadKAST Film Festival will showcase the people shaping the future of the Kootenays.
This will be an evening of connection, celebration, and inspiration. Guests will have the chance to engage with industry leaders, VAP entrepreneurs, and KAST Executives-in-Residence Mentors in a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. Snacks and beverages from local entrepreneurs will also be included.
“We are thrilled to highlight the journeys of these entrepreneurs and bring the community together to celebrate,” said Priya Biswas, KAST Executive Director.
