For grades 10-12, this hands-on experience taught students to operate a real business enterprise. They discovered the risks and rewards of ownership, built community relationships, and developed vital skills in financial record-keeping.
Students learned about the risks and rewards of owning a business and how to build positive relationships within the community. They sold shares, produced and marketed a product or service, and appointed a management team best suited to their company.
The JA Company Program, hosted by KAST, provided an engaging exploration of entrepreneurship.
The Program duration was 10-16 weeks (depending on location), held weekly as an afterschool program.
