KVN 2026

For Entrepreneurs Ready to Grow

For Investors Ready to Discover What’s Next

The Kootenay Venture Network (KVN) has been quietly creating powerful connections since 2022. It’s where ambitious founders meet engaged investors — and real opportunities are born. Whether you’re building a business or looking to invest in one, KVN will provide the skills to assess your next move.

KVN provides training and opportunity as part of the Discovery Foundation’s efforts to strengthen BC’s innovation ecosystem. Delivered by KAST, these training series are designed to help entrepreneurs and investors build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to navigate the capital-raising journey.

KAST’s regional experts deliver a three-part training series for founders and a concurrent series specific to investors, culminating in Pitch Night! A joint networking session where  both groups put their new skills to the test, entrepreneurs put their best pitch forward and investors put up venture potential.

Participation in KVN is free, and gives you access to the Kootenay Venture Network, a vibrant investment ecosystem accross the Kootenays.

Eager to participate? Join our waitlist for the 2026 Kootenay Venture Network cohort.

What is the KVN?

The KVN functions much like a traditional Angel Investor Group in that it:

  • Evaluates and considers KAST sponsored deal flow.
  • Provides opportunities to network and collaborate
  • Offers opportunities to learn and share knowledge.
  • Introduces founders and investors to facilitate investment

The KVN doesn’t do traditional investment forums, rather we come together when a founder is ready and work with them to support their next stage of growth.
