Join Us in Shaping the Future of Tech & Innovation in the Kootenays
At Kootenay Association for Science & Technology (KAST), we believe in the power of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology to transform communities. Since 1998, we’ve been fostering a thriving ecosystem where big ideas take root and businesses grow. Now, we’re looking for a passionate, strategic, and visionary Executive Director to provide stability and lead us into the next era of impact.
KAST’s operating environment, while always dynamic, is changing quickly and we need someone who is adaptable, can understand how the landscape is changing and what is (and will be) needed by our partners. Our organization is evolving and we are looking for someone to lead this transformation.
We need you to:
- Be the Face of KAST – Learn and understand the science, technology & entrepreneurial landscape. Engage with partners, represent our mission, and advocate for the region’s tech and innovation sector.
- Lead with Integrity & Purpose – Guide our strategic vision through confident and informed decision-making. Empower your team, foster collaboration, and drive results.
- Manage Funding and Programming – Connect with business, community leaders, and government bodies to secure funding. Responsible for grant development, budgets, reporting, and program delivery.
Why Join Us?
At KAST, we are building something special. We’re creating opportunities, fostering a culture of innovation, and making a lasting impact on the economy and community. This is your chance to be part of something meaningful—to lead an organization that is shaping the future of the Kootenays.
