GOSO Cookware’s Kickstarter Surpasses Their Target!

From KAST Executive In Residence, Christian Ambler’s Linkedin Post:

“When Brent Firkser pitched his idea for high-end, packable outdoor cookware I knew he was on to something good. Though I wouldn’t have predicted he would hit $100k+ on the first day of his Kickstarter campaign.

Brent has worked incredibly hard over the last 18 months to turn his idea into GOSO Cookware. He’s bringing chef’s standard cookware to the outdoors with his packable carbon steel pans.

He put in the work to validate the concept and clearly has product/market fit. But what has led to Brent’s early success, and will continue to help him grow his new brand, is his charisma.

Brent has been building GOSO in public and his enthusiasm is contagious. It comes through on Instagram reels, in his newsletter updates and when you meet him in person. He’s a founder you want to follow.

He’s also utilized the KORE – Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise Initiative network and is a great example of how a strong network of outdoor industry folks can help early-stage entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses.

He’s worked with the KAST Venture Accelerator Program to get the idea off the ground, Cameron Shute to design & develop the removable handle and James Friedrich to bring his product to market.

Go check out the GOSO Cookware Kickstarter campaign…and follow Brent. I can’t wait to see where he takes this brand.”
