Sam Farrell combines his deep background in business and entrepreneurship with his personal passion for science and technology to maximize the potential of the East Kootenays.

Born and raised on a family farm in Northern Alberta, innovation practically runs in Sam’s blood. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce and after this, he gained experience in a multitude of industries and regions. His career has even taken him to Europe, where he met his wife (and picked up a taste for espresso). He is excited about using this diverse professional background to assist KAST in its mission!

When not building organizational connections in the East Kootenays, Sam is likely enjoying the great outdoors, whether that means the slopes, trails or his own backyard. He also loves to cook with his homegrown produce, resulting in some powerfully spicy creations.
