Mark your calendars for this year's Community Science Celebration, Saturday April 10th, 2010, Selkirk College Gym, Castlegar.
This year's celebration is planning on being even bigger and better than last year's and if last year is any indication than the booths will fill up fast so it's time for you to register your booth.
The Celebration will include eye-popping science shows, various demonstrations, challenges and an opportunity to meet all the people in your community doing cool science every day.
We also have the BCTC portable AquaVan from Vancouver Aquarium featuring live animals, props and activities related to aqua life.

We are looking for local companies and organizations. to host a display, demonstration or activity at the event. We would like you to focus on local science, innovation, initiatives and/or science educational opportunities.
The Celebration is geared for a family audience. There is no fee to participate and admission is free to all residents in the region. If you chose to participate you will be provided with a 10 X 10 booth space in our Science Exhibitor area.
You provide
* A display or activity with an aspect of science or technology, for ages 6 - 14 & families
* Your time from noon to 4 PM (plus setup)
We provide.
* 10x10 space with table, power, etc. as required
* Volunteer support
* Participant recognition
* Breakfast & Lunch

TIME: 8:30am - 10:30am (set-up) Doors open 10:30am - 4:00pm.
LOCATION:Selkirk College, Gymnasium, Castlegar BC
The Community Science Celebration is a showcase for your community. It will profile local businesses, schools, organizations and innovators. You will experience the innovation in science and technology that exists all around you. Join Science World, Kootenay Association for Science and Technology and Selkirk College for this exciting community enriching day.
